Dear Fieldstone Community,
Congratulations on such a successful Parent-Teacher Interview Day on Wednesday. Thank you to all the parents and guardians who attended the meetings to discuss students’ progress with our teachers.
The Spring Showcase was a phenomenal success. Our young musicians, singers, and artists got the opportunity to display their talents to an appreciative audience. We are so proud of our amazing students.
Our students and teachers are now preparing for the finals! But that does not mean we don’t have fun activities planned for them to provide them with the space and time to relax and enjoy themselves. At Fieldstone, we pride ourselves on our holistic approach to education.
This week, FKCS students and teachers visited the Toronto Zoo. On a fun-filled trip, they got to see the beauty and majesty of nature. Please enjoy the photos below.
May is going to be a busy month. While our Cambridge students are busy with Cambridge exams, they and other students will take a break to enjoy Canada’s Wonderland – a traditional trip we take at around this time each year. Students will also enjoy a fun-filled alternative to Prom. More details to follow in the days to come.

Star Performer Programme
The criteria for a student to be a Star Performer are:
- The chosen student practises the Fieldstone Values (Caring, Fairness, Trustworthiness, Citizenship, Responsibility and Respect). The student must have shown at least three values. Teachers will be asked to provide an example of how these values were demonstrated per student.
- Academic Performance and Motivation (this will be reviewed monthly by the teachers and whichever student has the best performance and motivation during the 30-day period)
- Uniform is to be perfect for the entire month. Number One Dress on Mondays. Regular Uniform on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. This includes shoes, dress pants, kilts, blazers, sweaters – No non-Fieldstone jackets in class.
- The Star Student will receive a framed certificate from Fieldstone Kings College School.
Edsembli Connect for Parents: All our parents should be able to access their accounts on Edsembli Parents Portal HERE. The portal is where parents can check their child/ren’s reports.
If you are a first-time user, you will have received an email from Edsembli Connect at the email address we have on record for you. Please follow the steps to create a new password by clicking on ‘request a password change.’ Once you have a new password, you can access the account and check reports. If you have previously been able to log into the Parents portal and have been unable to do so now, please let us know, and we’ll fix the problem.
VOLUNTEER HOURS
All FKCS students are reminded that they will need to complete their “Volunteer Hours” before they graduate high school. Volunteer Hours can be completed inside or outside Fieldstone, but they must make sure they check the list of eligible and non-eligible activities before signing up. If students are looking for in-school volunteer opportunities, they should check their ‘Student Life’ Moodle regularly for updates and information.

The official dress code for assemblies is Number One Dress. Please make sure students follow uniform regulations.
Smart-Casual Guidelines
The following items are part of our “smart casual” expectation:
- Polo shirt/shirt/blouse for everyone; these can be long or short sleeved.
- Sweaters or cardigans can be worn on casual days – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Trousers, ¾ length trousers, skirts or dresses
- Dress shoes (black polishable)
The following items are not permitted and will constitute a uniform offense:
- Crop tops
- Short skirts
- Hats
- Ripped pants
- Leggings
- “Hoodies”

No Smoking or Vaping Policy
A reminder to students that smoking/vaping is not allowed within 20 meters of the school perimeter and is strictly prohibited on school property. This is both a school policy and provincial law.
Parking Lot Drop-off/Pick-Up Loop – Reminder
Please do not park in the drop-off/pick-up loop of the parking lot, as this will block other cars from being able to enter and exit the school property safely. If you are waiting to pick up your child(ren), please park in a parking spot, not the parking lot loop. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
