Business Showcase Highlights Young Entrepreneurs | Fieldstone King's College

Fieldstone’s annual Business Showcase took place on May 29th in the Fieldstone Gymnasium. The event featured six teams of Fieldstone’s budding entrepreneurs, as they pitched their creative ideas for business ventures to a panel of guest judges.

“Who are your main competitors?” “Where are you launching this project?” and “Have you considered the associated risks?” were key questions posed by judges such as Alex Hilmi, community coordinator of the local Business Improvement Association. The participants responded to such questions eloquently and with great attention to detail. It was clear that they had put substantial thought into each presentation.

Business ventures pitched by the students included home make-up services, bionic eyes, a “pocket doctor” app, and a peer-to-peer snow shoveling service. The winning group presented a dazzling video highlighting the features of their organic dessert café. It left both judges and audience members wishing that the venture could be a reality.

Congratulations to all Showcase participants and to our dedicated Business teachers. The Business Showcase helps students to practice collaboration, creative thinking, and presentation skills- all vital strengths of future global leaders.
