Our budding Fieldstone artists not only have opportunities for top-notch learning in our studio spaces, but they also enjoy visiting world-class arts institutions as part of their studies.
Last week, Visual Arts and Photography classes traveled to the AGO to view the popular new digital photography exhibition currently on display, and to participate in a riveting pen and ink workshop. The students were enthralled in their learning, and cited these trip highlights:
“I really enjoyed going to AGO to see the sculptures and paintings. Especially I saw Yayoi Kusama’s work, and we used a filter to take photos of the metal balls. I loved to explore the camera settings on my phone to see how I can get a better picture.”- Quinlan
“I really enjoyed this field trip because I could learn a lot about modern art with my friends”- China
“I learnt more about modern art. Also, I learnt how to use grid lines (on my phone).”- Miracle
We are committed to offering our students meaningful experiential learning opportunities at Fieldstone and look forward to more successful fieldtrips in the final months of the school year.
