Guidance at Fieldstone

Fieldstone provides dedicated one-on-one guidance support to ensure that every student is equipped to make informed and confident decisions about their academic future. Beginning in the early years of high school and continuing through graduation, our guidance counsellor meets individually with students to review progress, discuss goals, and map out a personalised pathway that aligns with each student’s interests, strengths, and post-secondary ambitions.

This individualised support includes careful course selection, ensuring students meet OSSD requirements while pursuing areas of academic interest or enrichment, such as optional Cambridge A Level studies. Counsellors also assist students in exploring a wide range of university destinations, including Canadian, American, UK, and international institutions. Students receive tailored advice on programme selection, admissions requirements, scholarship opportunities, and application timelines.

As students enter their senior years, guidance staff provide focused assistance with university applications, reference letters, personal statements, and supplementary materials. They also help students develop the skills needed for academic independence, such as time management, organisation, and self-advocacy.
